I was excited to see that Mayor Daley is trying to keep local fashion designers in Chicago. Earlier this week he created the Fashion Advisory Council to bring together local designers and give the fashion industry a solid base. This is something Chicago really needs to get the fashion industry in Chicago to grow and flourish. Many local designers get their start here but then move to New York or LA to advance their career.
